Surgical Intern
Dr. Karina Gordoa grew up in Mexico City. She received her Doctorate in veterinary medicine from the Universidad del Valle de Mexico and specialized in equine medicine. Her training has included working at the racetrack in Mexico City (Hipódromo de las Américas) and an externship in Texas. She has a passion for equine sports medicine and rehabilitation. She decided to come to Ocala Equine Hospital because of the amazing equine community here and the potential for a great mentorship, honing her skills in lameness workups and radiology. When she is not working, she enjoys reading, going to the gym, and outdoor activities, including hiking.
