Dr. Susan Stoterau, a graduate of the Chi Institute, is enhancing western medicine with the use of equine acupuncture. Acupuncture is a technique that has been used for over 3000 years in China to treat a variety of medical conditions. Today we can combine the practice of western medicine with that of Chinese medicine to balance the horse. Acupuncture points are stimulated to release beta-endorphins, serotonin and other neuro-transmitters. Acupuncture is being used for a variety of medical issues, but depending on the chronicity of the disease/problem additional treatments may be required.
